Pro-Israel positions have always provided an interesting for me; however, browsing online for these positions has not provided any fruitful analysis. Instead, amateur bloggers and uneducated individuals have made it clear that, without any evidentiary citations, Israel is on the side of good. It’s undeniable that their judgement is based solely on perspective, for if it were not they would see the error of their position.

It is very convenient for the pro-Israeli to forget Israel’s military power, its nuclear arsenal and its inability to persuade the rest of the world of its “good” intentions. In every instance they have been confronted violently by Palestinians, Israel has never thought twice about releasing their military power and crushing those Palestinians. In fact, those violent Palestinians hardly represent the non-violent Palestinian. However, Israel has never positioned itself as diplomatic or negotiable in any instance (Oslo Accord).

In his article, Warner D. Farr quotes Golda Meir:

To act in such a way that the Jews who died in the gas chambers would be the last Jews to die without defending themselves[1].

This mentality has pervaded Israeli mentality since 1948 after the establishment of the State of Israel. This mentality has persisted in all forms of cultural and military power, intent on decimating any act of resistance. These hostilities have made Israel’s cabinet and government increasingly paranoid about the intentions of Turkey, Egypt, Iran, and Pakistan. Israel has repeatedly made it clear that its violent ways and incredibly treacherous activities would never cease until its enemies have been obliterated. In doing so, “Never Trust a Turk” as expressed by 14 year old Stephanie’s Pro-Israeli post is quite literally real. One can see that Meir’s perspective and insistence on defending Israel with whatever arsenal it possess has trickled down many generations and settled comfortably in Stephanie’s generation.

Although Stephanie is just 14 years old, this position rests on the minds of millions of Zionist Jews. One must not look at Stephanie as having little to no experience in life to make her own judgements, but rather analyze the situation and find that even middle aged and adolescent individuals share the same paranoia. In her post, she writes:

They have become a treacherous liability, and a danger to civilization. Their economy and their society have lost any promise, and their friendship, never sincere, is proving a snake in the bosom.

Stephanie has provided an extremely Zionistic perspective that Turkey has become a “danger”, not of itself, but to “civilization”. In fact, Turkey’s military arsenal can hardly compare to Israel’s nuclear arsenal. Once the Yom Kippur War ended, Israel would not be prone to surprise attacks no longer from Egypt and Syria, for they had made it clear that their nuclear arsenal was ready for deployment at anytime (Farr, 1999). To this day, Israel’s position has remained firm:

The Israeli Air Force commanding general issued a statement saying Israel would “consider an attack” if any country gets “close to achieving a nuclear capability.” [2]

Who is more of a threat, you tell me? Turkey’s painful insistence on achieving military dominance or Israel’s nuclear arsenal, ready and deployed at any instance to destroy its neighboring countries? Think about it:

How on earth can the region ever be free of nuclear weapons if Israel is kept out of the equation when it is the only nuclear country in the area? [3]
